In Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a new initiative to promote tourism and investment in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted the Vedic clock in Ujjain as a unique global timekeeping example, and Bhopal's growing reputation as a tourism hotspot. The state is actively tapping into the tourism potential, said the CM at the 39th annual conference of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). Emphasizing the country's progress in various sectors, including tourism, Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent train journey from Poland to Ukraine. The event also included the release of the IATO manual and a film about the association. The late M L Rajdan of Rajdan Holidays received the posthumous Hall of Fame Award, accepted by his daughter-in-law Anita Rajdan. Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of Indian Hotel Company Limited, was also honored. Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Sheo Shekhar Shukla expressed confidence that the IATO Madhya Pradesh Convention would set a new standard for future events and encouraged delegates to explore the state's historical heritage, culture, and natural beauty. The attendees were urged to promote Madhya Pradesh as a tourist destination for both domestic and international travelers. A mesmerizing cultural presentation titled "Enchanting Madhya Pradesh: The heartland of India" was arranged by the Madhya Pradesh Government's Culture Department and directed by Maitreyi Pahar.The presentation highlighted the historical grandeur and beauty of the state with a 40-minute dance performance featuring 53 artists. Kailash Sisodia and his group from Dhar also mesmerized the audience of tour operators nationwide with a traditional Bhagoria dance of the Bhil tribe.
